Susan had another surgery yesterday. She had some blood and fluid in her left lung cavity, which was keeping her lung from fully expanding. The surgery went well–they were able to drain the fluid and she was back in a couple of hours. A few hours after the surgery, she was up walking and requesting popsicles.
Today she’s doing well. She’s walking further each day and working on squats with the physical therapist to build up the strength to stand up on her own again.
I’ve lost count of how many surgeries she’s now had, but like always, she’s come through another one.
