Today Carol and I went on an excursion.  We started off by having lunch in the city.  After reading today’s post on Beth’s Blog, I immediately wanted macaroni & cheezy with tator-tots from Q.  Carol loves their banana walnut pancake so we decided to go. With happy bellies we headed across the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County.  We took scenic shots of the bridge and the bay, then headed to Mill Valley, then onto Sausalito, and then to Marin Headlands before making our way back home.  I don’t have any pictures from Mill Valley, but we stopped by the Peet’s Coffee there and drove around their small downtown.

We stopped by Bluebird Yarn and I bought Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend to make myself a scarf. I’ve been wanting this yarn for a while, but I don’t like going to the only yarn store near me that sells it. Fabulous yarn store:  great layout and selection, super helpful and friendly owner – will definitely go back.

Marin Headlands

Bikers passing us by as we tried to access the coastal road on Hawk Hill. (They were doing construction so all the cars were turned back.) 5 Minute one way tunnel into the headlands. Rodeo Beach & Lagoon
