Normally I am not one to make a New Year’s resolution. This year I’ve decided to make one, and I’m determined to make it stick. I need to go on a knitting diet. I have a sizable stash of yarn in my orange bins. I am a member of two sock clubs this year. I have all the knitting tools I need. There is no reason why I shouldn’t be able to follow through on this.
Starting today, January 4th, 2011, I will not purchase anything knitting related for the rest of this year. This includes using only my stash to knit presents, and the only way I can introduce new yarn into my stash is either by trading or receiving it as a gift. No exceptions.
Whew! I’m going to need all the support I can get.

Does that support include gifting yarn to you that you ***really*** want, or is this a request of your friends and relations to help you reduce your stash??

Or, you could justify buying more yarn by giving some away! 😉 heehee

Yeah, good luck with that.
I already have a loophole for you: use up all of your stash yarn. Then the spirit of the resolution has been satisfied, you will have made a shit-ton of stuff (probably for other people), and then you can go buy more.
