My parents flew out this morning. It was nice having them here; I think it was especially nice for Carol. We pretty much laid around, and they did all the work for us 😀
The weather here was beautiful today. I love it when it’s sunny and brisk out. To take advantage of said weather Carol and I drove to Crissy Field for my exercise. It was really clear and the views were spectacular. The marina was filled with sailboats, people were bbq’ing and families were playing on the sand. We even saw a person swimming laps in the bay! Crazy. The rest of the day was spent relaxing, knitting and catching up on tv shows on the dvr.
I feel better today, and my coughing has eased up a bit. It’s amazing how much impact sleep has on our bodies. I woke up at 5am this morning and had a passing moment where I realized that I actually felt ‘normal’ – no coughing, no sternum pain, no funny inside the body feelings. Of course I promptly fell back asleep and that feeling didn’t return when I woke up, but it was nice catching a glimpse of what’s to come.
Over the weekend we received our big box of yarn. We got some great deals on Little Knits, and I’m excited to pick out new projects. Right now I’m more than half way through with a scarf I’m knitting for my cousin. Once I get the presents knit and shipped to NY I plan on starting on a blanket/throw for myself with the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Superchunky that just came. Yay!
