I think for the first time in a very long time I’m caught up with my knitting. I only have 1 project on needles. If you know me at all you’ll know that’s practically a miracle. (Well… to be completely honest I have an afghan in hibernation tucked away in a plastic bin somewhere, but I’m not counting that as I have no clue when I’ll pick that up again.) I usually have lots of projects going on at once with yarn strewn all about. Right now I’m knitting the Chevron Scarf from the book Last Minute Knitted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson.
Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock medium weight in colors Fall on Tap and Henpecked. The bonus is that the scarf is for me. So knowing this scarf does not have a deadline, I’m itching to cast on another project. What to cast on? Perhaps a pair of socks, or maybe a hat with the yarn Beth gave me for Christmas.
Here are some of the projects I’ve completed since I last posted:
Beanie for Fidel. Mountain Colors Bearfoot in color Chocolate – double stranded.
The Amanda Hat (pdf) for Elizabeth. Malabrigo Merino Worsted in color Natural.
Fetching fingerless gloves for Sandi. Noro Silk Garden in color 279.
The Nottingham Hat for me. Malabrigo Twist in color Damask Rose.
Ms. Brend (Ravelry link) fingerless gloves for Carol. Araucania Nature Wool Multi in color 401.
Hedgerow Socks for mom. numma numma the regular in color with a twist.
The other fun thing is that I renewed my membership to BMFA’s Rockin Sock Club. One of my favorite things about the club is the little mini emergency skein that comes with each kit. I have no idea what I’ll do with them but they’re so cute. These are the 6 skeins from last year’s membership plus the January 2010 shipment.
